The Kent, Surrey & Sussex Air Ambulance is about to replace its oldest helicopter with a more modern MD902 Explorer helicopter which is capable of conducting night operations, with the intention of commencing a two year trial on the most effective way of delivering night Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS) in the region. Rye Chosen for Hospice Neighbours Launch

When you are living with a life limiting illness, the world doesn’t stop and there are many everyday tasks that still need to be done. For those living with illness, the added upset of facing an overgrown garden that cannot be maintained or the difficult decision of losing a much loved pet that can’t be exercised can add even more distress to an already testing time. A new service provided by St Michael’s Hospice and launching in Rye aims to alleviate these pressures by seeking ‘Hospice Neighbours’ to help those in need.
