Police launch murder investigation after shooting in St Leonards
Police have launched a murder investigation after a two women were shot dead in a house in St Leonards.
Officers responded immediately to a report of a shooting at 7.43pm in Bexhill Road on Friday (16 March). Firearms officers were able to lead two other women from the house to safety and they were taken to hospital. Both were uninjured but suffering from shock. One of these women is pregnant. A 16-year-old boy who was stabbed in the street in St Leonards on Saturday, November 18, has sadly died.
The boy, who had been taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton following the attack, had remained in a critical condition throughout. On Friday afternoon (November 24), his family agreed that his life support should be withdrawn and he passed away shortly after 4.30pm. He has not been formally identified at this time.

Police in Hastings offer reward in hunt for wanted man Joseph Nelson
Police in Hastings are offering a £500 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of Joseph Nelson.

UPDATED Police warning after nine burglaries in one day in East Sussex
Police are reminding residents across East Sussex to be on the alert for suspicious activity after nine house burglaries in one day in the Polegate, Westham, Bexhill areas.
The offences all happened between 8am and 6pm on Tuesday (7 November) but police warn that that the burglars might strike elsewhere.
Detectives are also appealing for information about the occupants of a car who were seen acting suspiciously near one of the burglaries.
The car was a dark coloured Audi, possibly an A4, with distinctive rear tinted windows, roof rails, alloy wheels and LED headlights. The occupants were a bald-headed man and a woman with blonde hair in a pony tail. Continue reading Nine Burglaries in 24 Hours
St Leonards-on-Sea man charged with causing grievous bodily harm
Following an incident in Norman Road, St Leonards-on-Sea, at around 10.40pm on Tuesday (17 October) in which a 46-year-old local man suffered serious injuries, Simon Snashall, 51, unemployed, of Norman Road, has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of an offensive weapon – a commercial rolling pin – in a public place.
A St Leonards woman has been sentenced over multiple frauds totalling more than £20,000 in East Sussex.
Kelly Jane Hodd, 29, unemployed, of Martingale Close, St Leonards on Sea appeared at Lewes Crown Court on 29 September, having pleaded guilty at earlier hearings to 19 counts of fraud and related offences and was sentenced to 18 months imprisonment suspended for two years on each count, to run concurrently.
She was also ordered to undertake 240 hours of unpaid work.
