Police launch murder investigation after shooting in St Leonards

Police have launched a murder investigation after a two women were shot dead in a house in St Leonards.

Officers responded immediately to a report of a shooting at 7.43pm in Bexhill Road on Friday (16 March). Firearms officers were able to lead two other women from the house to safety and they were taken to hospital. Both were uninjured but suffering from shock. One of these women is pregnant. Police release efit of knifeman suspect in Hastings

Police have issued an efit of a suspect who confronted a couple with a knife when they answered the door to him Beauclerk Way, Hastings.

The man burst into the premises brandishing a knife on Sunday (4 February) at about 8pm.

The male occupant of the premises climbed out of a window and onto the roof to evade the intruder, who then fled and is believed to have got into a dark coloured saloon car.

On trying to climb back through the window the man fell onto a grassed area outside and suffered serious injuries, including a punctured lung. Continue reading Who is this Man

Almost Four Times Over Drink-Drive Limit

Drink-driver convicted following head-on collision

 

This was the result of a woman being almost four times the drink-drive limit.

Emma Tingley was driving a black Ford Focus which was involved in a head-on collision with a white Toyota Aygo in Willingdon Drove, Eastbourne.

Her vehicle had drifted onto the wrong side of the carriageway prior to the crash at the junction with Sevenoaks Road.

Two Armed Robberies in Hastings

Police seeking information following two armed robberies in Hastings

Police are seeking information regarding two armed robberies which occurred in Hastings on the evening of Wednesday 3 January.

Between 8pm and 8.30pm, a group of six hooded male youths, at least one of which was wearing a face mask, entered a property in Devonshire Road.

They threatened the occupier with a baseball bat and ransacked the house. The group then escorted the man along South Terrace and St Andrews Square area to a second property, before making off. Continue reading Two Armed Robberies in Hastings

Witnesses sought after knifepoint robbery at Hastings Co-op store

Police are searching for two robbers who held up staff in a Hastings shop at knifepoint and stole cash.

Just before 11pm on Wednesday (3 January) the pair entered the Co-op store in Fairlight Road, Hastings, each wielding a knife, and demanded cash from the till.

Three members of staff and two customers were in the store at the time but nobody was injured.

£500 Reward

Reward for arrest and conviction of Nigel Fry, aka May, wanted on warrant

Police are offering a £500 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of Nigel Fry.

Fry, 50, also known as Nigel May, from Bexhill-on-Sea, is wanted on a warrant for failing to appear in court.

Officers also wish to speak to him about several other offences in the Eastbourne, Lewes, Rother and Wealden districts.

Fry is described as white, 5’5″, 11 stones 2lbs, of proportional build, bald and with brown eyes.

Anyone seeing Fry or knowing of his whereabouts is asked to report detailsonline or call police on 101, quoting serial 47170166775.

16 Year Old Dies in Hospital

Victim of St Leonards stabbing dies in hospital

A 16-year-old boy who was stabbed in the street in St Leonards on Saturday, November 18, has sadly died.

The boy, who had been taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton following the attack, had remained in a critical condition throughout. On Friday afternoon (November 24), his family agreed that his life support should be withdrawn and he passed away shortly after 4.30pm. He has not been formally identified at this time.
