Exciting Pyjama Walk News

The ever-popular Ashford Pyjama Walk for Pilgrims Hospices raised over £46,000 this year.

Victoria Lawrence, Community Fundraising Manager for Pilgrims Hospice, Ashford said: “I’m delighted and thrilled to share the news with our community supporters, the total of over £46,000 is amazing. The Great Ferry Road Nursery Duck Race

Fun Cycle Challenge

Good Weather, Good Fun, Great Event Rye buzzed to the sound of hundreds of cogs and wheels as the 7th Fun Cycle Challenge started recently in the town and sped across the Marsh to Hythe. In the run up to the local County Council Elections local charity ARRCC welcomed Sarah Owen, Paul Barlow and Steve Bassam to their premises at The School Creative Centre in Rye. Presidents Night

This years Presidents Night for the Rotary Club of Rye & Winchelsea was held at a local hotel the Hope Anchor. Despite the ravages of a flu bug seemingly raging in the area which resulted in many last minute cancellations, it was a well attended dinner. Continue reading Presidents Night

Lunch With the Lions

More than 80 senior citizens from Rye and nearby villages enjoyed a Sunday lunch by courtesy of Rye & District Lions Club. The lunch was laid on at Rye Community Centre and all seniors that required transport were collected by Rye Community Transport and Lion Club members cars and returned home at the end of the afternoon.
