The ever-popular Ashford Pyjama Walk for Pilgrims Hospices raised over £46,000 this year.
Victoria Lawrence, Community Fundraising Manager for Pilgrims Hospice, Ashford said: “I’m delighted and thrilled to share the news with our community supporters, the total of over £46,000 is amazing. More than 80 senior citizens from Rye and nearby villages enjoyed a Sunday lunch by courtesy of Rye & District Lions Club. The lunch was laid on at Rye Community Centre and all seniors that required transport were collected by Rye Community Transport and Lion Club members cars and returned home at the end of the afternoon.
