Rare Rolls Sedancalette 20-25 : The stunning Kent based duet, the Dulcettes and our own Ellie the 2019 Miss Vintage World, dressed in classic 1920’s style to illustrate one of the finest condition Rolls – Royce’ we have ever photographed.

60s Men’s Magazines : Classic vintage ‘girl next door’ pin-up publications that have become very collectable in recent years. Two pages packed with original 1960s photographs.

Burlesque : A brief history of Burlesque and pictures of English Burlesque acts including Kitten Von Mew, Missy Maybe and Rosie Apples.

Stirling’s First Race Car : The story of the life of the Cooper 500 racing car that Stirling Moss drove to win his first continental race. Also showing the car as it is today and pictures of singers Miss Holiday Swing and Victoria Bass in the driving seat of the little racer that Stirling won the Formula 500cc Championship at Monte Carlo in 1950.

The Bush Inn at the 1940s Village : Including article and pictures. Pictures include John & Joy Park, Holly Foster and a 1938 Morris Ambulance.

Rye’s Own Needs Help

Times are changing – When “Rye’s Own” was first published 50 Years ago, there was no internet, no 24 Hour news programmes on television and local media was not even imagined in anyone’s wildest dreams.

Newsagents still sold vast amounts of newspapers and supermarkets were virtually non existent this side of the Atlantic. Retail Price Maintenance had only just been abolished (by just one vote in a free vote in Parliament) and local traders who had stuck rigidly to their own specific trades were still able to make a good living on the High Street, which had not yet felt the effect of the Supermarket explosion. This was made possible by the abolition of RPM, and would slowly change Britain from being a nation of small shopkeepers and turn it into a nation of ever larger and more powerful supermarket chains. Two Arrested after Shots Fired

Two arrested after gunshots fired in Hastings

28 February 2016

Police received reports of a gun being fired at a property in Devonshire Road, Hastings, just before 5.50pm on Sunday (28 February).A firearms unit and the police helicopter were scrambled to the scene after one report said two people had got out of a car and fired a gun at a building.

Police discovered the shots had caused damage to a door and a window at the front of the multi-occupancy property. No one was hurt.
