Reward for arrest and conviction of Nigel Fry, aka May, wanted on warrant

Police are offering a £500 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of Nigel Fry.

Fry, 50, also known as Nigel May, from Bexhill-on-Sea, is wanted on a warrant for failing to appear in court.

Officers also wish to speak to him about several other offences in the Eastbourne, Lewes, Rother and Wealden districts.

Fry is described as white, 5’5″, 11 stones 2lbs, of proportional build, bald and with brown eyes.

Anyone seeing Fry or knowing of his whereabouts is asked to report detailsonline or call police on 101, quoting serial 47170166775.

Nine Burglaries in 24 Hours

UPDATED Police warning after nine burglaries in one day in East Sussex

Police are reminding residents across East Sussex to be on the alert for suspicious activity after nine house burglaries in one day in the Polegate, Westham, Bexhill areas.

The offences all happened between 8am and 6pm on Tuesday (7 November) but police warn that that the burglars might strike elsewhere.

Detectives are also appealing for information about the occupants of a car who were seen acting suspiciously near one of the burglaries.

The car was a dark coloured Audi, possibly an A4, with distinctive rear tinted windows, roof rails, alloy wheels and LED headlights. The occupants were a bald-headed man and a woman with blonde hair in a pony tail. Continue reading Nine Burglaries in 24 Hours

Two sentenced to five years for Hastings street attack

Two 21-year old men have each been sentenced to five years imprisonment for a vicious late night street attack in Hastings town centre two years ago.

Conor Hodge (pictured left), unemployed, of Priory Road, Hastings, and Jason Easton (pictured right), a student, of Lullington Close, Bexhill, were sentenced at Lewes Crown Court on Thursday 3 March having been convicted of grievous bodily harm, at the same court on 16 January. Four men have been arrested after a violent incident at a flat in Bexhill.

At about 4.25pm on Saturday (25 February) two men, aged 29 and 23, were attacked at a flat in London Road, Bexhill, by several men who entered, one of whom was holding what appeared to be firearm of some kind.

Motorcycles stolen in Bexhill and Hastings

Police in Hastings and Rother are appealing for witnesses or information after receiving reports of three locked motorbikes being stolen. The thefts took place overnight in the Hastings and Rother areas over a period of four days from Friday (6 January). The stolen bikes are described as a red and white Yamaha R6 from the Valley Park area of Rye, a white Yamaha 125cc XT from Stockleigh Road, Hastings and a blue Honda CB400 from Hastings Road, Bexhill-on-Sea. 4 x 4’s Drivers Caused Criminal Damage

Police Appeal for Information

Police are appealing for information after 4×4 vehicle drivers caused criminal damage to a gate and fields in the Pebsham area of Bexhill.

Sometime overnight on Wednesday (2 November), a gate was forced open by several 4×4 vehicles, which were then driven over fields damaging crops.

Man arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in Bexhill

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was stabbed in Albert Road, Bexhill on Tuesday (30 August).

POLICE

Emergency services were called at around 3.50pm after it was reported two men were seen fighting.

The victim, a 35-year-old man from St Leonards, was pushed off his stationary moped and punched and stabbed twice in the back.
