Car Crashes into Launderette – Woman Seriously Injured

A woman was seriously injured when a car crashed into a launderette in Bexhill on Friday afternoon (June 10).

A silver Jaguar X-Type travelling west in Parkhurst Road at 5pm appears to have lost control, overshot the junction into Sackville Road and collided with two other cars and a bicycle before hitting the launderette where the 56-year-old victim, from Bexhill, was within. She suffered serious arm injuries and back injuries and was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital for treatment. She underwent surgery on Saturday.

The 81-year-old woman, also from Bexhill, driving the Jaguar was treated for minor injuries.
