Fire crews from Rye and others including Hastings, Battle and Ashford are fighting a multi-building farm fire just outside Camber on the Lydd Road.
Police and ambulance attendance, but as far as we can ascertain there were no injuries. Around ten fire appliances are at the blaze, including a Ladder Platform and around fifty firefighters,. After the tragic events which occurred off Camber this recent summer, The Gallivant will be hosting a delicious Fish Supper on Sunday 16th October from 6pm, in support of this country’s extraordinary public services, the RNLI, who are dedicated to saving lives at sea around the coasts of Britain and Ireland.

The five men who died at Camber Sands have now been named.
They are Kenugen Saththiyanathan, 18, and his brother Kobikanthan Saththiyanathan, 22 both of Normandy Way, Erith and their friends Nitharsan Ravi, 22 of Admaston Road, Plumstead, Inthushan Sriskantharasa, 23 of Chadwell Road, Grays and Gurushanth Srithavarajah, 27 of Elsa Road, Welling.
