“Biggest Protest Shepway Has Ever Seen

Sellindge & District Residents have just announced the date for a massive demonstration against against Shepway’s plans for a ‘Garden Town’ for 12,000 houses and a Lorry Park for 3,600 lorries.

It is billed as the biggest protest Shepway has ever seen. Feelings are running very strong in Sellindge and surrounding villages against the massive exploitation and desecration of the farmland that will take place if these plans are allowed to proceed. A Note from the Editor

I have been editing this magazine since 1965 and during that time have come across many exciting, interesting and talented people. The work of Albert Stribbling, an amazing man from Ashford, has never been published, I cannot think why. The following is a section from his unfinished book, these are all the words he has sent us and they are all included here for you to enjoy as I did.

Albert is racing to complete his book, we shall print anything from it he cares to send us, when you read the following chapters you will understand why I can say that without seeing them.

The Southern Sections of the Rolls Royce Enthusiasts’ Club are holding an International Weekend at Westenhanger near Hythe in Kent. The event will feature not only Rolls-Royce motor cars from all over Europe but will also present ‘The Best of British’ veteran, vintage and classic cars, with participation from local and national Owners Clubs.
