Lions and The Music Well
The Music Well which offers music therapy to the people of Rye and nearby villages has received a donation form Rye and District Lions Club.
Lions Aid Rye Playgroup
At their existing premises in Ferry Road, Rye Pre-school Playgroup at present take children from 2 to 5 years old from 8am to 5pm 50 weeks of the year. They are opening another unit at Tilling Green Community Centre next January to cater for toddlers below 2 years old.
Lions Support Rye Community Transport
Rye and District Lions Club have made a donation to Rye and District Community Transport for the third year running. Following their earlier donations of £1,000 and £500, they have donated an additional £500, making a total of £2,000 over the last three years.
Rye Raft Race
Back after year break Rye Raft Race is back. It will take place on Sunday 15 August. The start and finish will be at different places on the river than last time to avoid the problem of louts throwing eggs from Monkbretton Bridge onto the participants.
