Celebrity Chef John Torode coming to Jempson’s Peasmarsh BBC MasterChef John Torode will be cooking up a storm at family owned independent Jempson’s Peasmarsh on Friday 16th December.

The hugely popular chef will be hosting two ‘Meet the Expert’ cookery demonstration events during the evening at 6pm and 8pm. John is best known as the straight-talking co-host and judge of BBC1’s MasterChef, Celebrity MasterChef and Junior MasterChef.

Goodbye Jimper – You Have Touched So Many Lives

Jimper  Leaves Rye for the Last Time

The funeral for Jimper at St. Mary’s Church was a very special event. Saying goodbye to a person whose presence was so powerful and who filled any room he entered, was not easy.

A very sad occasion was made so much easier in the knowledge that Jimper himself would have approved of all the arrangements that were made by his family and the wonderful support the Bonfire Boys gave by attending in Bonfire Dress and drumming him to the Church. Bonfire Drummers Will Lead Cortège To St. Mary’s Church.

One of Rye’s best loved characters will be laid to rest today, Friday 8 July.

Jimper Sutton’s Funeral Cortège will be led by Bonfire Society drummers from the Landgate to St. Mary’s Church, Rye for the 11 am. Service.

St Mary’s Church, Rye is the venue for the Funeral Service of Jimper Sutton, who died on Monday 20 June aged 72.
