Movie Society Dinner 1970

NEW TROPHY

The Rye & District Movie Society’s Annual Dinner, held at the Ship Inn, Rye on Friday 27th February was another great success in the long tradition of success­ful events run by this go-ahead group of movie makers.

Movie Societies Successful Year

Speaking at the Annual General Meeting of the Rye & District Movie Society held on Friday 3rd March, at the Further Education Centre, Mrs. Camier, retiring chairman, told the members that 1966 had been the most successful year in the society’s history. Mrs. Camier went on “The high­light of the year was the making of the film of the Royal Visit to Rye in October.
