Rye Chosen for Hospice Neighbours Launch

When you are living with a life limiting illness, the world doesn’t stop and there are many everyday tasks that still need to be done. For those living with illness, the added upset of facing an overgrown garden that cannot be maintained or the difficult decision of losing a much loved pet that can’t be exercised can add even more distress to an already testing time. A new service provided by St Michael’s Hospice and launching in Rye aims to alleviate these pressures by seeking ‘Hospice Neighbours’ to help those in need. The Jolly Sailor

I went down to Rye with my daughter to discover more about the exceptional circumstances which had led to my parents’ house being flooded in November 1960.

I had been living in London at the time and had just completed the preliminary exams which took place half way through my Physiotherapy training. I was desperate to go home to unwind and relax.
