There was a large turnout for the Annual Inter-Club Ten Mile Time Trial on the Romney Marsh Newchurch / Ivychurch circuit recently

Rye,Hythe & Romney Runners Well Represented in 30th. Hastings’ Half Marathon

23rd March saw Hastings’ 30th Half Marathon and nearly three and a half thousand finishers. Ion Castro was there with his camera. Ion would have brought Happy Harold, Hastings’ own 1928 former trolleybus to enhance the spectacle and provide a viewing platform but unfortunately the extensive repairs to his engine (the ‘bus, not Ion) are taking longer that had been hoped for and HH remained in the depot. Graham’s Way Could Be Completed By 12 August

EDITORIAL

New hope has emerged that “Graham’s Way”, the cycle footpath from Rye Harbour to Rye, will at last, be completed. The pathway was fought for by Brian Matthews whose son Graham was killed on the dangerous path-less road that claimed eleven lives over a period of forty years.
