New Year Cycle Race
Good Start to New Year by Local Racing Cyclists Rye Wheelers were out in numbers at Bethersden on New Year’s Day to ride in and support the Southborough Wheelers Open 10 Mile Time Trial.
Inter-Club 10 Miler
There was a large turnout for the Annual Inter-Club Ten Mile Time Trial on the Romney Marsh Newchurch / Ivychurch circuit recently Almost forty riders turned out for the race, although, due to punctures, two riders did not make it to the starter and a further two failed to finish.

The last race of the 2013 season came at the end of October. The Hastings C C / Rye & District Wheelers Hill Climb on Battery Hill, Fairlight is a test only undertaken by the fittest members of each club.

Rye Wheeler’s Ladies Dominate Kent 12 Hour Women’s Championship
Raise your glasses and toast some of the best women cyclists the Rye Club has ever produced. Emma Cutler, Rebecca Wilson and Julie Bryant were placed first, second and third in the gruelling Kent Cycling Association’s 12 Hour Time Trial Championship held on Kent roads on Sunday 2 September.
