“FANTASTICTURN OUT”

The Rye in Bloom committee were absolutely delighted with the fantastic turn out of entries and visitors to their first Flower and Vegetable Show at the Community Centre last Saturday. Entries from all over Rye and surrounding areas came in thick and fast and there were over 160 exhibits of fruit, vegetables, handicraft and flowers on display showing how versatile and keen Rye gardeners are. The year was 2004 and the summer was refusing to die. The autumn rains and winter gales had not materialised yet and the ground was still firm.
