‘Pav’ Bryan is Best All Rounder and Bronwen Ewing Sets New records.
Peter ‘Pav’ Bryan of Rye & District Wheelers was the 2016 Kent Cycling
Long Distance Best All Rounder Champion and a major prize winner at
the KCA Luncheon, held at The Weald of Kent Hotel on Sunday 6 November.
Also at there to collect her trophies for being the KCA’s fastest
10 mile and 25 mile lady in Kent was Rye Wheelers first National Champion,

Rye Wheelers were out in numbers at Bethersden on New Year’s Day to ride in and support the Southborough Wheelers Open 10 Mile Time Trial.

Rye & District Wheelers 25 Mile Championship Time Trial
The Club Championship “25”
The first Rye Wheelers Club Championship “25” was held in 1926 and won by Ted Bannister. His time was not recorded but the second place man, Harry Britt, finished in I-15-05, Les Hatter was third. The Magnificent Four
They call it the ultimate ‘Race of Truth’. The National 24 Hour Cycling Time Trial Championship was run this year on North Country roads, but, as in the previous two seasons, members of the Thornton Road Club, based at Hythe, competed in strength. Continue reading The Magnificent Four

Wheelers Triumph In Kent
Local cycling club, Rye & District Wheelers have made history in Kent Cycling circles by becoming the first club ever to win the KCA Best All Rounder Team Trophy, an event which aggregates the best times over distances of 25, 50, 100 miles and 12 Hours by the fastest three riders from one club in a season, with two women representatives in the team.

Only the best 40 teams in Britain are selected to ride in the National Team Time Trial Championship. The Rye & District Wheelers Team of Steve Gooch, Barry Goodsell and Nick Wilson found their names on the sheet when the order of start was officially announced.
