The first of the Wind Farm turbines are up Each one towers 370 feet above the ground, that’s twice the height of the existing pylons

A Fact Sheet records that the development site extends to very nearly one and a half square miles in two parishes. Rye Lions First Lady

 

Rye & District Lions Club which was founded in 1976 inducted their first lady member, Gill McGannan, at their April meeting. Gill is the National Strategy Science Consultant for Kent County Council and lives in Rye. Although the Club is now in its thirty-second year, it has until now been an all male group.
