Motor Cyclist Seriously injured

Motorcycle and van in collision at Camber, near Rye

At 1.50 pm on Sunday (3 April) emergency services were called to New Lydd Road, Camber, near Rye, where a motorcycle and a van had been in head-on collision.

The Garage on the hill at the northern end of Sellindge was one of the very first in Kent to sell petrol. This was around 1903. Previous to that time the establishment had operated as agricultural engineers, producing and repairing farm machinery.
