Motorcycle and van in collision at Camber, near Rye

At 1.50 pm on Sunday (3 April) emergency services were called to New Lydd Road, Camber, near Rye, where a motorcycle and a van had been in head-on collision.

The motorcyclist, a 33-year-old man from Dagenham, Essex, riding a blue Suzuki GSXR600, sustained serious injuries and was flown by air ambulance to St George’s Hospital, Tooting, London, for treatment. He is currently in a stable condition.

The van, a silver Volkswagen Transporter, was driven by a 52-year-old man from St Leonards-on-Sea, who was unhurt.
