Kent CA Open 12 Hour, Sunday 9th August 2009

Once again it was the second Sunday in August and time for the highlight of the time trial year for me! It was up at the crack of dawn, sadly not to ride but to assist two of our riders, Mark Amon and Dave Wheeler, both of whom were riding their first twelve hour event. Faster at 65 than he was at 25

Eight members from the club entered this event held on the Chilham (Q25/8) course. Dave Wheeler was the fastest member of the day with a time of 56.51 setting a new club record, and bringing it back to a local course. Steve Gooch also beat the hour with a time of 59.07 just 13 seconds of his best ever time.
