If you have never run at all, or run just a little, or haven’t run for some time and want to build your fitness and confidence in a supportive and fun environment, sign up! Visit to Hastings Lifeboat station and slight detour to the High Street to see the ” Priscilla Macbean” the sister lifeboat to the “Mary Stanford” of Rye who was lost at sea with all hands in a storm in the 1920s Stop for tea and cake at Bexhill on return journey Meet 10.30 am Cooden Beach Hotel TN39 4TT for Tea,coffee or a drink 11.00 am Leave ride to Hastings via Bexhill seafront 12.30 pm Refreshments in the Cutter Pub TN34 3AL 1.00 pm Fish and Chip Lunch at Lifeboat fish and Chip Shop 2.00 pm Short ride to see “Priscilla MacBean” Tea and Cake at Bexhill 3.00 pm Return ride to Cooden Beach Distance 8 miles each way Dress Vintage or Tweed any old Bike We give a friendly and warm welcome to new riders

Fun Day Out at the Races

 

It was a Fun Day out at the races for many families at the Aldington Point-to-point on Easter Monday. There were thrills and spills at the six race meeting with smallish fields giving a good chance to the punters. The event was organised by the East Kent Hunt in conjunction with West Street Point – to – Point Races.

The Ladies Open Race, sponsored by Hythe Bay Seafood Restaurants, proved eventful. Favourite, Battlecry, ridden by Miss M Spencer, fell at the first. Continue reading Aldington Point-to-Point
