Another Flood Alert for Rye

Tillingham & Brede River Flood Alert

 

A flood Alert was issued by the Environment Agency at 3.05 pm (Today) Sunday 3 January 2016 for the

Flod Water Threatens Tilling Green

River Tillingham and it’s tributaries, from Beckley Furnace to Rye, including; the Tilling Green Estate to the Railway line and the River Brede and it’s tributaries from Sedlescombe Bridge to Rye, including Winchelsea

Very Latest from the Environment Agency :-

River levels in the Rivers Brede and Tillingham have peaked overnight and are now falling.  However, further rainfall is expected today and overnight which could cause river levels to rise again.  We still do not expect flooding of property at this stage but will continue to monitor the situation.
