The company was started by Robert Hollands Snr. and his two sons Robbie and Glenn in 1995, importing just pepper at first, then slowly extending into other spices. Over the years the business has grown and now stock one of the largest selections of herbs and spices in the South, they supply to every corner of the United Kingdom.

Robert Snr., retired from the business and now supplies the shop with an amazing range of polished, turned wood items, which he has been producing over the years as a hobby. Some of his work has won prizes in competition. Anita Hollands also works for the company at the Rye Harbour Road site and with a third generation of Hollands now working on the factory floor it really is a family run business.

The new Rye Spice Shop is another landmark in the Companies history and reflects the enterprise of the small family business that has grown to match the ever expanding taste of a culinary conscious public that enjoy rich and exotic flavours from around the world.
