Appeal for witnesses after woman assaulted in Hastings

Police are appealing for witnesses to an assault on a woman who was attacked in an alleyway between Robertson Street and Claremont, Hastings on Saturday, 30 April.
The victim was walking through the alleyway when a fight between a group of people broke out at 1am. She suffered a black eye, bruised ribs and bruising to her arms and chest and went to hospital for treatment.
A 45-year-old man from Battle was arrested on suspicion of assault and resisting arrest and a 45-year-old Battle woman was arrested on suspicion of assault. They were both questioned and bailed until 27 May.
