Loss to the Town
A well known Ryer, Mr. William Bredon Field died on Thursday, 10 March, aged 84. He lived at Tillingham Avenue, and leaves a widow, a son and a daughter.
Mr. Field was born and bred in Rye. He and his wife celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary in 1963.
Mr. Field was Rye’s Own first personality to be featured in the article ‘Down Rye Way’ in the November, 1965 issue. He will be a great loss to the Town, especially at the Museum, where he has worked for 10 years and was the Senior Custodian
