“Rye’s Own Film Archive”

Hundreds of films, many from 50 and more years ago, have been collected in our film archive and at long last modern technology has allowed us to convert them to a form that can be edited and uploaded onto our web site for any one in the world to enjoy.

Viewing these films is completely free and they are accessible 24 hours a day once they have been uploaded. To continue this free service to all that love Rye we ask just two things. One, please continue to support Rye’s Own by buying a hard copy of the magazine every month and two do continue sending in old cine film and videos of anything, old or up to date, as long as it has Rye connections.

50 years is a long time and we have amassed a vast collection of material, only a fraction of which has been uploaded onto the web site to date.

We are very short staffed and have always had to run on a shoestring budget relying on volunteers to help with contributions and reports.
