Andrew Vincett
This month’s Personality is 17 year old Andrew Vincett who is well known and well liked in Rye. Born in Rye Foreign in January 1956 Andrew has lived in and around Rye all his life. He went to Peasmarsh Primary, Rye Primary and Thomas Peacocke School and is at the moment studying for his A levels.
Andrew, or Vince to his friends, is well known for his sporting activities, he has played football for East Sussex under 14’s and under 15’s teams, and is Captain of the school 1st eleven. He currently plays for the Rye 2nd. Team, and hopes to play for the Firsts next season.
He has won the school cross-country for this successive years. Andrew has got strong religious views, he is an active member of the Baptist Church, he likes music, Larry Norman and thee Moody Blues, are among his favourites, but he has not got a record player — all donations welcome” he says. Vince gets on well with everyone at school, but has no current girl friend. However, he is learning to drive although he hasn’t taken his test yet. So watch out!
His main ambition in life: “I would like to continue being as happy as I am now”.
