Now that the hubbub of Sunderland’s cup win has died down, local footballers may be wondering if this win by the underdog has any significance to football as we know it around Rye. BELA OLAH’s RYE UNITED county league side are going through a difficult time. A dour struggle against top of the table RINGMER on 7th January, resulted in a goalless draw, thanks to some fine work by Rye Keeper STEVEN WILLIAMS, and raised hopes of a return to form by the side.
