We have just learned that television and radio personality Terry Wogan has died after a short but brave fight against cancer.
Sir Michael Terence “Terry” Wogan, KBE DL was an Irish radio and television broadcaster who has worked for the BBC in the United Kingdom for most of his career.
Terry Wogan, best known for his early morning radio programmes, his unique presentations of the Eurovision Song Contest and his hosting of “Children in Need” with ‘Pudsey’has been part of all our lives since the early 1970’s.
Born on August 3, 1938 in Limerick, Republic of Ireland, he was a natural broadcaster with amazing ‘dry wit’ and ‘tongue in cheek remarks’. He will be much missed by millions .
Terry married Helen Joyce in 1965: They had five Children: Mark Wogan, Katherine Wogan, Alan Wogan, Vanessa Wogan.
