Married at St Mary’s Church in Rye on Saturday 21st August were Misty Allen and Matty Allen-Purvis. Misty is the daughter of Kim and Nick Allen from Rye, Matty is the son of Janet and Ivor Barret from Billingham.
The bride wore a beautiful long white gown with embroidered detail and contrasting black trim and lattice fastening. The groom and his men wore matching pinstripe suits, whilst bridesmaids wore long black silk dresses.
The church service was conducted by Revd Richard Orchard, assisting the bride on her special day were bridesmaids Revd Richard Orchard, Charlotte James and Allison Purvis. With little maids, Morgan Twine, Macy & Alisha Tough, Georgina Purvis and Sadie Purvis- Budworth. Matty’s best man was R-Jay and church ushers were Ivor Barret and Lomax Purvis, Misty was given away by her Dad.
Following the service and wedding photos, the wedding party made haste for the Cock Inn at Peasmarsh, the bride and groom travelled by limousine, whilst many of the guests used the special bus service provided for them. At the Cock Inn everyone enjoyed a splendid outside buffet, plus a fantastic “Hog Roast”, on site was an outside bar plus music from local band “1066 Rockitmen” who entertained the guests till late.
The happy couple who now live in Ashford, Kent, would like to thank everyone for making their day so fantastic, especially the Mums and Dad’s that worked so hard. Photos by Pixels, Rye.
