The first pictures from the International Classic Car Event “Hands Across the Sea” are available right here and now now.
The show, held on the spacious grounds of the old Folkestone Racecourse at Westernhanger, continues all day Sunday and Monday morning the 24 & 25 May.
The first day saw many hundreds of cars arriving at the site and being inspected and photographed by Rolls Royce Club members and the many visitors to the show from all over Britain and the Continent. The main event of the day was the Vintage Car Auction, arranged by Hobbs & Parker.
The South Coast Stompers, Traditional Jazz Group, wandered around the showground giving impromptu performances to delighted show goers. They will be on parade throughout the show.
The Sunday afternoon special treat will be a fly past by the Spitfire and Hurricane of the Battle of Britain Flight when the beautiful sound of powerful Rolls Royce Merlin Engines will evoke memories of those days in 1940 when the Air Battle raged in the skies above Kent.
