Grace meets the Prime Minister
“Our Gracie”, ARRCC Chief Executive – Grace O’Neill, met Prime Minister Gordon Brown at 10 Downing Street recently.
The invitation, by Rye MP Michael, was to highlight the amazing work she, and the rest of the staff at ARRCC (Activities, Respite Rehabilitation Care Centre) do in the local community.
ARRCC is a registered charity, which works in partnership with other organisations, to provide support, advice and training, both to members and their carers. The objective is to enable members to develop abilities, learn new skills and to reduce social exclusion.
In this they have been very successful, and Grace O’Neil’s tireless efforts have won her the respect and support of all members and the Rye public alike.
Indeed the enterprise has been so successful that members are known to the people of Rye for their enthusiasm in attending the many fund raising events organised by or on behalf of ARRCC.
The point has now been reached when the once tiny organisation is about to spread it’s wings and open centres in both Bexhill and Folkestone to help more carers and their charges in these new areas.
Our Sister magazines “Hastings Town and “Folkestone, Hythe & Romney Life” look forward to report their activities in these new localities.
