Skill in Cycle Test
There was no peace for the wicked, or any one else for that matter,
at the Rye Wheelers Annual Barbecue.
Competitors for the Obstacle Bicycle Race, some of whom had competed
in a Hundred Mile Time Trial that morning, had to negotiate a course
that demanded strength, skill, speed and a lot of luck. One time Rye milkman, Bill Waters is a picture of concentration and determination as he speeds over the see-saw. A sit down feed in the massive barn that looked more like a trendy restaurant followed, courtesy of Chefs Lorna, Kevin, Martin, Nicki, Liz and Jo’.
A slow bicycle race followed in which 16 brave souls took part, cheered
on by the rest of the guests.
This was the fifth Annual Barbecue the Wheelers have held.
