Witnesses sought following assault in Hastings

Police are appealing for witnesses following an assault in Queens Road Hastings on Thursday (25 February).
Officers were called at around 1pm on Thursday (25 February) and found an 80-year-old local man in the road. He was taken to hospital where it was confirmed he had a fractured hip.

A 64-year-old man from Hastings was arrested on suspicion of GBH without intent and bailed until 22 April.

Detective Constable Julian Stokes said: “There were a number of people who came to the aid of the elderly man in the road.

“We would like to hear from them and anyone else who saw what happened in the moments leading up to the incident.”
