A wild, Wild Boar Night

Pig’s Can’t Swim, Wild Boar (to the tune of Green Door), Little Piggies and much, much more….
Both visitors and locals enjoyed a piggy-themed evening at the Queens Head, Rye last Tuesday night in support of the Wild Boar Festival. With piggy themed songs and realistically honking toy boars we turned the pub into pig paradise.
Sixteen Ukulele players, including a handful of new members sat in on the fun and it was good to see the various offshoots of the Rye Ukulele Experiment having an opportunity to perform their specialities. Ali Catt performed some superb solos, the Ukulele Ladies – with Justine, Pam and Heidi harmonised perfectly, Mrs Hall’s Boys thrashed out some joyful jazz and Bob and the Good Old boys – featuring Bob Page finished off the evening with their very own style of Uke rock.
Many thanks to Jonathan and his staff for the Boar burgers and other tasty treats they provided.
And last but not least we raised a considerable sum of money for the St Michael’s Hospice fund – so massive thanks to all.
