Witnesses sought to attack on teenage girl in St Leonards

Police are appealing for witnesses after a teenager was assaulted in St Leonards.
The 16-year-old was walking with her friends in Harley Shute Road at about 3pm on Saturday 16 January when she is reported to have been grabbed around the throat. She sustained minor injuries and did not require treatment.
A number of motorists may have witnessed the incident, as several cars sounded their horns as they drove by.
A 16-year-old girl from St Leonards was arrested on suspicion of theft, threatening to damage property and assault occasioning actual bodily harm. She has been bailed until 21 February pending further enquiries.
