It was a bright sunny day at St Mary the Virgin in Rye on Saturday 18th September, as this was the setting for the wedding of Kelly Ann Paul to Matthew James Southcott. Kelly is the daughter of Lynn and David Paul, from Rye, and Matt is the son of Pat and Ron Southcott, from Staplecross. Kelly wore a beautiful long Ivory wedding dress, satin with embroidered diamante detail throughout, with matching tiara and veil. Her flowers were Avalanche Roses with Purple Lisianthus, this colour scheme was reflected through the whole wedding, as brides maids wore purple satin dresses, and the men wore ivory shirts with purple ties with their dark suits. Matt’s “Best Man” was Steve Fairbrass, assisting Kelly and her Mum was the Maid of Honour Claire Bourne, and Bridesmaid Sarah Devlin.
Also helping was young Bridesmaid , and Page Boy William Last. At the church, her son Brandon Bourner walked Kelly in for the service, which was conducted by Canon Richard Orchard. Afterwards photographs were taken outside St Mary’s, before the newlyweds and the wedding guests moved on to the country setting of the Rainbow Trout Pub, Broad Oak, for the reception. Arriving in style, the couple had a black Limousine for the journey, the pub was superbly decorated for the event, with tables, balloons and ribbons in the ivory and purple colour theme, where everyone enjoyed some excellent food and drink. Kelly and Matt will continue living in Brede.
