The 2005 Garden Safari, organised as in past years by enthusiastic gardener Sandra Pawsey, was another outstandin g success raising no less than £1,700 towards St. Michael’s Hospice.
Town Crier Rex Swaine toured the Safari route announcing in his dulcet tones each garden as he arrived.
This years trek led from Ferry House on the Fishmarket to number 11 High Street thence on to 4 Mermaid Street and then to West Street and the garden of Lamb House. All the gardens were spectacular, so much work and effort going into this worthwhile project that has realised almost £15,000 for St. Michael’s Hospice in the thirteen years since the first Garden Safari.
