The Artist’s Paradise
Artists from all over the world come to Rye to record its unique streets and buildings. This lady, photographed in the early 1950’s took up this comfortable position to paint the Ypres Tower. Perhaps some of our readers remember who she was or what happened to the picture she was working on. These days there are more photographers than artists recording Rye’s charms. “Rye’s Own” is grateful to both for enhancing our pages.
