23 year old Frederica Barwood, the 1969 Miss Rye’ s Own, opened the Annual Brede Fete on Saturday 25 October. 1969.
The Fete, organised by the Brede Scout Group, was a great success, the proceeds completely cleared the balance owing on the New Scout Hut.
Frederica was accompanied by her two attendants, Miss Shirley Thompson of Udimore Road, and Miss Valerie Noakes of Brenzett.
