Police in East Sussex seek woman over alleged witness intimidation
29 January 2016 Police Press Release
Police in East Sussex are searching for a woman who they want to trace and interview about a report of attempted witness intimidation in a court building.
On 19 November last year two women were attending a hearing for a case at Lewes Crown Court. As they were sitting in a public gallery in the court the suspect approached them and made a verbal threat.
The photo of the woman is being published in a bid to identify and trace her. She is described as white, in her late twenties, of average build with long dark straight hair, wearing dark clothing with a beige cardigan.
Anyone who recognises the woman is asked to contact Sussex Police via [email protected] or call 101, quoting serial 229 of 29/01.
You can also contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 (www.crimestoppers-org.uk)
The case the women were attending is still sub judice. Three defendants have been charged with assault and are currently on court bail, due for trial in April this year.
