The feature on Stirling Moss brought interest on a Rye based motor racing Formula one racing team. Dan Gurney and the Eagle Racing Team joined Weslakes on the Rye Harbour Road and performed at the top level in top class motor racing.
Dan Gurney won the Belgan Grand Prix at Spa in 1967.
