Local Rye charity ARRCC has now relocated to The School Creative Centre in New Road, Rye. ARRCC was very fortunate to have the support of E.S.C.C., Rye & Winchelsea District Memorial Hospital, The league of Friends and a local trust providing funding for the substantial refurbishment costs. Chief Executive Grace O’Neill explained that this has been a challenge for everyone and two years of uncertainty, However, the move to The School has been a great success, our Members enjoy being a part of the Creative centre. Apart from plumbing and electrical work by two local contractors, who worked to a very strict deadline, and gave ARRCC enormous support. All the rest of the refurbishment work was done by our own talented Drivers at weekends and every spare moment that they could find. Our Lounge Staff did wonderful work in moving everything from Kiln Drive to the School ably assisted by our willing volunteers.
There are still improvements to be made and funding to be sought. ARRCC would like to say a big ‘Thank You’ to everyone who has assisted us to remain in Rye.
