A Return to the Hopfields
It seems the imminent house building plan that Shepway has for the area has driven the War & Peace Revival away from the area and back to Whitbreads Hopfields Showgrounds at Beltring.
The show, which was immensely popular for the past four years at Folkestone Racecourse and responsible for attracting a huge amount of trade to the area from all over the country and the continent, is to be staged at Pembury in 1917 and beyond.
A long term contract has been signed which will see the show at Beltring for at least the next four years
The War & Peace Revival Team broke the news this week.
It is terrific news that War & Peace will continue for years to come but a disappointment to the Hythe area which has seen another great show disappear from it’s annual calendar.
Kent has been the home of the War & Peace Revival for more than 30 years. The show’s long term presence will remain in Kent! Returning to the Hop Farm Showground from 25th to 29th July 2017
The future is bright. Dates for the 2017 – 2020 shows are as follows :-
2017 Show dates; 25th to 29th July
2018 Show dates; 24th to 28th July
2019 Show dates; 23rd to 27th July
2020 Show dates; 28th July to 1st August
