The Best Rye Christmas Festival Ever

They came in their thousands to Rye on Saturday 9 December for the third Christmas event staged by Liz PenDennis and her fantastic committee.

For the third year the roads inside the Town were closed resulting in huge crowds safe streets for the children to roam and allow musicians and choirs to perform.

It was cold, very cold, but there were plenty of hot drinks available and even a hot toddy.

The shops were doing terrific business – It all begs the question, why allow cars into the town at any time? Nowhere to park? Well the estimated 6,000 people that visited Rye on 9 December all found a way of getting in without bringing pollution with them.
