Jempsons of Peasmarsh opened their new Self Service Store in 1972 and were soon inundated with new customers. The growth of the original village store to what it has become today is a remarkable story of the enterprise and hard work put in by the family and staff. The Oliver Curd Trust

Young Oliver Curd died in November 2007 having battled bravely against Ewing’s Sarcomo, a form of cancer. During his illness his parents, Richard and Sarah Curd, were supported by family and friends, by the Conquest and Royal Marsden Hospitals and by cancer charities. Fair Trade Fortnight

Jempsons of Peasmarsh will be fully supporting FAIRTRADE FORTNIGHT to be held this year from 26th February to 11th March. The Jempson/Budgens stores in Rye, Hawkhurst and Battle will also specially promote their ranges of FAIRTRADE products. Jempsons in-store cafe at Peasmarsh and their coffee shops in Rye, Hastings and Battle will lend their weight to the campaign by offering FAIRTRADE coffees and cookies.
