Many events and attractions were staged at the Peasmarsh store over the last week in June and the first week in July. Hundreds of regular shoppers turned up to join in with the festivities.

The Oliver Curd Trust

Young Oliver Curd died in November 2007 having battled bravely against Ewing’s Sarcomo, a form of cancer. During his illness his parents, Richard and Sarah Curd, were supported by family and friends, by the Conquest and Royal Marsden Hospitals and by cancer charities. They are used to selling ‘hot cakes’ at Jempson’s Superstore, in fact 71,000 hot cross buns have been cooked and sold in the weeks up to Easter, but Jimper’s book “Jimper’s Journal” from his diaries of the fifties and sixties was going almost as fast.
