Local actor, Martin Wimbush, is bringing his acclaimed one man play, Wellington, to THE BARN THEATRE, SMALLHYTHE for two charity performances on Sunday 26th June at 5.00 pm and 7.30 pm. All ticket proceeds go to three local charities: Rye Community Transport, ARRCC and Rye and District National Trust Association. Set in Wellington’s small room at Walmer Castle where the Duke was Warden of the Cinque Ports, we get a fascinating look into the Duke’s personal and public life. A moving, sensitive and passionate portrayal – rising to sustained drama in a gripping account of Waterloo.
