How many of these young ladies can you remember from the 1972 Rye Carnival Queen Selection?
Rye Carnival was back after a 20 year break. It took place on Saturday 2 September, organised by Rye & Rother Valley Round Table.
Thousands of visitors crowded into the town to join local families and watch the colourful parade and area displays on the Town Salts.
The 1972 Rye Carnival Queen, Wendy McConnell with her attendants Jane Cressey and Julia Bevis took pride of place at the head of the parade.
