Rye Bonfire 2006

Photographs From A Great Night’s Entertainment

There is no greater night of the year in Rye and so it has been down the ages.

Rye Bonfire Society put on a fantastic show every year and it is a free show that all the family can enjoy. The Boys (and Girls) work hard all year round raising cash to produce the colourful spectacle that people from all over the World come to see.

The important thing is ALL the money collected in the boxes and buckets goes to help local charities. So please be generous on the night. Give the kids plenty of pennies to drop in the boxes, give the good lady some shiny pound coins and, I have been informed, a five pound note slips through the slot easily. £10 have been known but a £50 would be a first I think.

Have a great night, wrap up well and stay warm.
